Systems Engineer | Professional Services Division

St. Croix Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced candidate as a Systems Engineer for our Professional Services Division. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years experience as a technology professional and certifications on four or more platforms offered by St. Croix. This individual should possess superior problem solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, a hard work ethic and the ability to prioritize and multitask.

The Systems Engineer’s role is dynamic, will interface with customers, and will involve working within a team environment or independently depending on short-term and long-term business drivers. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: billable professional services delivery, pre-sales support, solutions development, assisting other SE’s, working with technology suppliers and achieving technical certifications and other related duties.

Technology Focus:
• Enterprise Storage - including EMC Systems, Hitachi Data Systems, Sun Microsystems and others
• Network Technologies - including Cisco Systems, Brocade and others for Storage, WAN, LAN and WLAN
• Operating Systems – including AIX, Solaris, Red Hat, Windows and others
• Virtualization Technologies- including VMware and others
• Enterprise Servers - including Sun Microsystems, IBM, Hewlett-Packard and others
• Backup and Recovery Technologies - including Veritas, Legato, CommVault and others
• Data Replication Technologies - including Veritas, EMC Systems, Hitachi Data Systems and others
• Other areas as defined by business drivers

Qualifications Required:
St. Croix Solutions prefers that candidates possess the following qualifications:

• 4 year degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 8+ years as technology professional in a consulting or IT environment
• Working knowledge and hands-on experience with four or more of St. Croix Solutions product lines, including and understanding of hardware configuration, product options and operating system configurations
• Certifications in St. Croix product lines preferred
• Excellent problems solving skills
• Strong work ethic
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Including the ability to work with clients and sales team to answer questions and help solve problems
• Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently
• Ability to prioritize work or seek out assistance with work prioritization when needed
• Ability to work individually and in a team environment and to give or take direction
